For one evening only, we have the pleasure of welcoming guest speaker and menopause specialist, Aly Dilks.

In this session, Aly will outline what the menopause is and why is it so topical today.

She will explain about the different treatment options, including diet and lifestyle advice as well as expelling some common myths about HRT.

Aly will include an easy prescribing guide and offer some tips to help you provide a menopause consultation in a 10-minute appointment. There will be time at the end for questions, although she will not be able to give individual medical advice.

Qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in 1988 and a Midwife in 1992, Aly has had a varied career across a whole spectrum of specialities within nursing, from homeless healthcare to completing a Masters in Diabetes. The majority of her career has been spent in the field of Women’s Health and has been working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a GP surgery in Leicestershire for the past 7 years.

Aly has several years of experience in the field of Menopause, working in both the NHS and the Private Sector.

She is a member of:

The British Menopause Society (BMS)
The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH)

She has also completed:

The British Menopause Society Certificate in Menopause Care.
British Menopause Society Accredited Specialist.
